Parent Orientation

The countdown to school has begun…

While you were on summer break, Bridges was busy at work getting ready for another exciting school year!  The entire nursery school wing was painted a beautiful warm butterscotch color and each individual classroom was painted a creamy beige.  All rugs were shampooed and sanitized.  Our security system was upgraded to include video cameras at the entrance. Our staff has been hard at work preparing their classrooms for a brand new year. You will be able to see the end result of their efforts at our Parent Meeting.  We can’t wait!

The “Parent Orientation” meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 1st.  Please click Parent Orientation Meetingfor a schedule of times. This is a great opportunity for parents to meet their child’s teacher and learn what a day at Bridges is like.

*Note: If you are in Ms. Debbie’s Kindergarten class please adhere to the times and directions she included in the letter sent to you and your child.*

Please be advised…All paperwork and tuition payments were due by August 1st.  Failure to supply  payment and paperwork prior to the “Parent Meeting” will result in the removal of your child from our enrollment and their spot will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Step 1: Set the trap.  Rumor has it they like clover and chocolate chip cookies.

Step 2:  Leave the room.  They have been known to be quite mischievous.

Step 3:  Carefully check the trap.  They are quite fast, so be careful.

Step 4:  Oh no…no cookies, no clover, no leprechaun…

Thank You Fireman Nick

It is so nice when people take time from their busy schedule to visit our school.  Today Fireman Nick (Antonia’s Daddy) spent his day teaching our children about fire safety.  He showed them all his gear and explained the importance of each item.  He attempted to create a mock rescue so the children can see what it feels and looks like to see a firefighter in full gear.  He even had Ms. Roberta try on his jacket so she could see just how heavy it truly is.  His easy manner and warm smile encouraged the children to tell their own stories and ask questions.  We want to thank Fireman Nick and his family for sharing such an important topic with us.

You can visit the Gallery to see more pictures of Fireman Nick, his family and our students.

A Grandpa was out bicycle riding with his five year old grandson.  He became a little wistful and told him, “In ten years you’ll want to be with your friends and you won’t want to bike, swim or hike with me anymore.  He shrugged  and said, “Oh well, in ten years you’ll be too old to do those things anyway…The fact that your heart is warmed by this story means you are already a grandparent. Grandparents find joy in all their grandchildren do and say. They see with their hearts and love unconditionally. Grandchildren possess a different gift.  They speak from their heart with absolutely no judgement or prejudice.  The following is a glimpse of their impressions of you.  Take a deep breath and click “Grandparents Day 2011
